  • Oats-beta-glycans to take down skin redness
  • Witch Hazel with natural soothing and anti-bacterial properties
  • Vitamin E for its restorative properties and ability to fight free radicals
  • Alpha-bisabolol for its calming and soothing action

Ashley says

“There are several injections recommended by the NHS for babies and mothers. A harmless yet common adverse reaction at the injection site can occur with more than one in ten people experiencing it. This reaction involves tenderness, soreness and redness around the injection site.

In the first instance, this does not mean that the skin is infected, it is the skin’s response to the needle and should settle in a few days. Infants commence their vaccination programme at 8 weeks with the 6-in-1 vaccine and meningitis B. The next doses in the course follow on at 12 and 16 weeks. The rotavirus vaccine is also given but is an oral form, not an injection. Pregnant women are encouraged to have the whooping cough and influenza vaccines. Some women will also require their injectable medicines to continue throughout pregnancy, such as insulin for diabetes. Some women may go on to develop the need for injectable medicines during and after their pregnancy, for reasons such as gestational diabetes and blood clot prevention. For repeat injections, the injection site should be rotated to avoid the development of scar tissue and site reactions. Modor & Bearn have developed a handy and effective balm for application post injection to help against this.”

Apply one pump where needed after injection. Repeat as often as required for a few days following injection.

* injection Zone Balm was initially designed following intramuscular vaccines and while also suitable for subcutaneous injections, please allow a short period of time before rubbing the injection site following these
